DJW Projects at Soho
May 20th, 2009

One of Sydneys most iconic venues the Piccadilly Hotel www.sohobar.com.au located in the heart if Kings Cross has undergone a transformation in recent weeks, re-opening its doors as SOHO. Interior Designer Patrica Bondin www.make.net.au worked closely with Intergrator and Project Manager Dave Coxon www.djwprojects.com.au to design a nightclub space that revolved around changing scenes and textures utilising colour changing LED lighting. The design consisted of over 100 tri color mr16 format LED’s, 30 m of led strip and 40 Lightemotion Sputniks. The lighting over the dance floor consists of 30 Sputniks to create colour, pattern and movement. More Sputniks were installed in the level 1 bar and in the toilet foyer.
” They really are a cool little fixture, for their price point I could not find a better mover. It enabled me to use a lot of fixtures in a small area with a low roof, this created a far more powerful effect than a couple of big fixtures would have for the same price”
- DJWProjects manager Dave Coxon
